What is Expected of You: Members are expected to earn at least 15 PAW Points per semester (i.e. 4 meetings and 2 social events). If you absolutely cannot attend general meetings due to class, work, or volunteering, your 15 paw points can be earned by participating in events or watching the meeting recordings. You are only considered an active member if you meet the minimum requirement and pay your membership dues. Failure to pay dues, automatically qualifies a member as inactive and the semester in question will not count towards incentives.
Incentive for Being an Active Member: Graduation sashes are given to active members that have received a minimum of 30 points.
If you were in the club for 2 years, you will also receive an orange cord.
If you were in the club for 2 years and became an executive board member, you will receive a double colored cord.
* Those graduating need to inform the President of graduation mid semester prior to graduation (announcements will be sent out) as sashes and cords need to be ordered in advance. Failure to inform the President of graduation status will result in the member having to pay out of pocket for expedited shipping and pay for the full cost of their sash and cords. The club reserves the right to have members pay for their own sashes and cords if they fail to meet strict deadlines, as it is not fair to the club to make exceptions for one individual while others were able to make the deadline. *
Also, you can receive awards for being the Most Active Member and Member of the Year depending on how many PAW Points you earn during the year.
